Bio

The Radio Riots is a 5-piece female fronted rock dance cover band playing the best music from the radio spanning the past five decades. From AC/DC to KC and the Sunshine Band to Led Zeppelin, this band puts on a raucous show bound to get people out on the dance floor. The band brings professional sound gear and lighting to accommodate any event. 

 

Shyle Ruder (lead vocals) 

Shyle has been performing music professionally for over 25 years and began her career as a singer/songwriter. Her voice is smooth, powerful, and heartfelt. Her musical credits include: Return Flight, The Saturday Night Orphans, her solo acoustic project, and musical theater 

 

Dan Polidori (lead guitar and vocals) 

Dan is a long time local fixture in the Portland music scene. His guitar skills turn people's heads. “He is one of the areas most accomplished fret masters and when he steps up to solo, you will immediately know why”- Buckster/Positively Entertainment. His musical credits include: Return Flight, The Bitchin's, Heart to Heart, The Bob Miller Almost All Star Band, The Saturday Night Orphans, Global FM, The Cat Jugglers and numerous other projects.  

 

John  Parman (drums and vocals) 

John is a long time fixture in the Portland music scene having played and sat in with many local acts. Currently John plays with the fun and edgy rock band The Radio Riots and Return Flight, a long standing local 11 piece funk band. John has been fortunate enough to roadie and drum tech for national acts including Rod Stewart, Yes, Paul McCartney, Michael Schenker, Warren Zevon, Richard Marx and more. John has also been a judge for Guitar Center's 26th annual Drum Off.  

 

Kenny Goldstein (four and five string basses, upright contrabass, and vocals)

Kenny was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1960. His father Bob was also a bassist and did quite well in the Manhattan jazz community thru the 1950s. In 1969 his family moved to Portland, Oregon. Kenny says his dad tried to keep his kids away from "pop culture", we all know how THAT works... At age 13, Kenny discovered the beginnings of a lifelong love of bass, and what it means to perform in any ensemble.

Some notable groups Kenny played in over the years : Evil Genius , Johnnie Ward and the Jokers, The Arnold Bros. (MoTown Revue), Storefront Theater’s production of the play "Angry Housewives" (30+ shows), Franco Paletta and the Stingers, and The Lucky Losers (San Francisco). Currently Kenny is working with Return Flight and The Radio Riots.

 

Lyle McCuistion (keys and vocals)

A native Oregonian, Lyle has been performing since the age of 12. Lyle has performed throughout the Pacific Northwest as well as Las Vegas, Dallas Texas, Fort Lauderdale Florida, and as a guest on a Norwegian Cruise line Caribbean cruise.

In addition to the “Radio Riots”, Lyle performs with “Return Flight” and looks forward to seeing you at an upcoming show!
